There's a way to be good again

At one point or other in our lives we all do something that stays with us as a bitter memory...not a regret like getting the wrong tattoo...but a feeling that things surely could have turned out differently...be it a relationship or a bad decision..You ache to go back and change..Why is that-the present "you" is always wiser than the same being of the past..?..Retrospection has its pain..sulk..guilt...[unless you've lived your life like a saint..ask A.Raja what retro did to him..!]
Life has its own strange ways of reminding your past misdeeds..or the guilt would "make you" believe that the present rough patch that you are going through probably is the result of your karma..But does one always have to live his life with the repercussions of a past act...?..Can't one just go back and change the orientation of the sling-shot so that life takes a different trajectory..?

What Amir does in The Kite Runner could be the story of anyone of us..May be not in the dramatic sense..But our action course from "this moment" onwards could surely heal us from an ever persistent guilt.."I never did become what I could have.."...or "..I acted like a moron then,else...."..Can't the guilt just fade away..??..No..Do not wait for the moment when you'll start living your life in a certain way that would be "good"..There would never come in your life a sudden awakening..A dramatic one, where you'd realize that you've found a reason to change...That happens only in good movies and great literature...Carpe diem...and start living life in a way that would give content to your soul..There is a way to be good again..At least better than the way you were a few years back..or just a few moments back..

Apologize. It never made anyone smaller. Seems like a cliched mother-saying..but mother-sayings do have their own rewards...It could earn you a pat on the back,a lost friend,a broken relationship..and if you are lucky enough, may be a purified soul too.

  1. An interesting piece indeed! Wish you slightly modify your style by using the dots to the minimum. As per the editing procedure, if at all a break has to be given by dots, then it should be three dots... neither less nor more. As a style it is very good, but if the manuscript reaches an old hag (like me!) it might be slashed badly.
But do not feel discouraged as you have a great potential and make use of your talent. BEST LUCK.
