We the people-II

Facebook,Twitter abuzz..the nation seems determined and the people seem adamant to get rid of the menace of corruption...The nation has not seen such an uprising since a long-time..No political undertone....what we are witnessing is a great spectacle..this time the "patriotic-feeling" was not just restricted to the independence day..it continued...and is on as I write this on 17th august..seems the show is going to last for few more days..and I hope its effects last for our life-time and the times of coming generations..

The man at the center of all storm-Anna Hazare..A man who a few months back was just an answer to a GA question about "Ralegan Siddhi" has now become the anti-corruption icon..The man has garnered support from thousands of men and women..surpassing all barriers of age, caste, creed and religion...Only one thing that unites all is the angst against systemised corruption which is deeply rooted in our society..The simple gandhian has taken the whole nation by a storm and is carrying the crusade with innocent child like smile..People have started calling him the "second Gandhi.."..a bit over-the-top..I would rather call him "THE FIRST ANNA..".His aide in the crusade Arvind Kejriwal,Kiran Bedi and the likes must get due credit too..because it is them who got all started....If Anna is the face of the revolution, they are the back-bone of it.

Those who like more action call it "second freedom struggle"..even that is a bit far-stretched..Comparing anything to "the sacred" freedom struggle is doing injustice to our great freedom fighters..It is actually the first "serious" revolt against corruption..and to take any uprising to its end there has to be a face and the will-power..We've got the face in the form of Anna..the will-power has to come from within us..Though it's "cool" to be against corruption these days..lets hope it's not something just in vogue..

Not everyone can move out on the streets but one can still be a part of the process by lending the moral support to those who actually are doing it..raise your voice against corruption at any platform you get..social tools, discuss it among yourselves...and most importantly remember this when being a part of the ultimate democratic litmus-test:GENERAL ELECTIONS..Don't compare it to anything-freedom struggle, tehrir square etc....the agenda is simple-to make the government realize people have woken-up..and you better act this time..!
